Ahead of the 2023 F1 World Championship getting underway, we take a look at the previous winners of the Drivers’ and Constructors’ titles.
The anticipation is rising ahead of the first Grand Prix of the new season in Bahrain this weekend, where a total of 20 drivers and 10 teams will be battling it out for glory.
2022 season
Last year’s F1 World Championship season saw Max Verstappen breeze to the Drivers’ Championship by a whopping 146 point margin over runner-up Charles Leclerc, clinching the title at the Japanese Grand Prix in October with four races to spare.
With Verstappen topping the standings and his Red Bull teammate Sergio Perez placing third, Red Bull were able to secure the Constructors’ Championship by a 205 point margin over nearest challengers Ferrari.
