No stunt for Tallon Greek Spoor: Dutchman loses to number eleven in the world after comeback

16 Apr 2024 | George Fotev

Tallon Greek Spoor was close to a beautiful victory over Alex de Minaur, number eleven in the world. However, at the Monte Carlo ATP tournament, the Dutchman suffered a narrow defeat in the second round. He lost 2-1 in sets.

Greek track offered De Minaur an excellent match on Wednesday. The first set was won convincingly by the Dutchman (6-2). The next set went to the Australian in the same numbers. He eventually won the third and deciding set: 6-3.

In the first round, Mozespoor, who is 26th in the world rankings, defeated the German Dominik Köpfer (2-1). However, De Minaur proved too strong in Monaco. He is now preparing for the round of 16 of the ATP tournament, where he will face Alexei Popyrin.

Still a prize in Monaco?

Despite his elimination, the adventure for Greek Spoor is not over yet in Monaco. He will play in doubles later today. Together with the Pole Hubert Hurkacz he will meet an Argentinian duo in the doubles tournament.
